Eagle Mentality

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

The Webster dictionary defines situation as: a set of circumstances in which one finds oneself; a state of affairs. If we all examine our own lives, all of us can say we have a situation or situations going on. It is not the situation that’s the problem it is how we deal with it. The eagle is a bird that we are all too familiar with. The eagle has some great qualities.

· They are faithful- when an eagle picks a mate they stay with them for a lifetime. Unless they are impotent.

· The have great vision – an eagle can see an object the size of a rabbit from 2 miles way.

· They soar in the midst of a storm – an eagle is known for soaring above a storm the eagle uses the current from the storm to parcel itself through it.

If we look at these characteristics, these are characteristics a Christian should display. We need to be faithful not to just to the things of God but to God himself. We need to be able to see not just in the natural, but in the spirit. (We wouldn’t be cut off guard if we see it in the spirit Things always happen in the spirit first then manifest in the natural. The word says we should watch and pray.) We ought to use our storms to elevate us to the next level. We should not be afraid of them. If you don’t believe you are more than your situation than you want be. This is a mental thing. It is not about what it looks like, but about who we serve. If you don’t understand you are more than a conquer through Christ Jesus, you will allow your situations to get the best of you. Isaiah 40:29-31The Message (MSG)27-31 Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “God has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind. If we wait on Jesus if we wait on the Lord the real Son. He will renew us, while we are waiting this does not mean do nothing this means study the word, pray, fast, encourage, love, be steadfast, and etc. We have to come to the realization that situations are going to come and some of them are going to bring us some valley experiences, but just like an Eagle when the next storm comes, I’m going to use it to take me higher. You see an Eagle waits on God to take them higher through the storms that come their way. Strat looking at the storms in your life, your situations as elevators to go higher in the Lord. Be Blessed!
