God’s Presents vs. God’s Presence

What do you value more? The Presents of God, or the Presence of God? I’d like to say we all value the Presence of God more, but unfortunately it’s not true. We have a tendency to seek His hand more than God himself. We want Him to deliver us, work it out in our family, help in our finances and much more. But do these gifts from God mean more than God himself? It’s a good question to ask ourselves. In Exodus 33:12-15 we find the gift God had for his chosen people was near; the Promise Land. But Moses insisted, if it meant the Presence of God would leave, what lied ahead of him wasn’t worth it. When we change our perspective and begin to value His Presence more than what He can do for us, that’s when God moves. It’s no longer about what He can give that’s important, it’s about being with Him that’s important. I encourage you today to seek His face and enter into His Presence. He is waiting to be found.
