Overcoming Fear
The word fear means dread or alarm in facing danger: to be afraid or apprehensive. I looked up the word phobia which in laymen terms means the fear of, the list of phobias I found, was four pages long. There is actually a thing called phobia of phobia. Which means fear of being afraid this let me know the enemy is playing for keeps when it comes to fear. The enemy wants us having fear instead of faith. He knows fear will keep us from doing those things that Christ has assigned us to do. We can’t allow fear of rejection, fear of being shamed, fear of people and etc get in the way of being obedient to God. Fear brings about torment, but perfect love cast out fear 1 John 4:18. We have to overcome our fears: 1. You must acknowledge it. 2. Ask God for help. 3. Use the word to boost your confidence. 4. Face the fear. The enemy uses fear to keep us in bondage, but in 2 Timothy 1:7 it says For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but power, and of love, and a sound mind. Only thing we should fear is God and that is a reverence for who he is. Be Blessed
