Meekness - The gift that keeps giving!

Meekness is the fact or condition of being meek, submissiveness. Enduring injury with patience and without resentment. Synonyms: down-to-earth, lowly, humble, modest. We as Christians need to be meeker. First to God, being yielded, teachable, and responsive to His ways. Then to each other humble, gentle, and respectful to become this type of person we have to allow God to transform us. Transform us in our thinking, in the way we love, in the way we behave. Let’s look at an elephant, they are so strong. Their trunk in particular is an example of strength. The trunk has over 40,000 muscles in it. It is strong enough to up root trees, and gentle enough to pick up a single blade of grass. We have to be just like the elephant, strong enough to standup to against satan and his demons, but meek enough to win souls. Matthew 5:5 says “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” God can trust a meek person with the earth because they are yielded to Him. They won’t us it for their own glory but for the glory of the Lord. Some people confuse meekness with weakness, but meekness has a quiet strength. It protects from pride, aggression, and snootiness. It says I am free to give. It just keeps on giving. Meekness will take you a long way!
